A station is a desk
The valet welcomes, identifies, writes, stores keys, returns the car. The useful station unites a surface, a secured door, storage, mobility. That is the valet desk.
What a station is not
A hotel-coloured parasol does not organise keys. A wall safe has no writing surface. A back-room key cabinet is not a visible post at the door.
